KICKSTART YOUR WRITING!

How many times have you started your WIP…and stopped?
Have you longed for the space and time to write?
Do you make resolutions/intentions/pledges with the goal that this year you’ll write the story you’ve been dreaming about?
I know. I’ve been there!
That’s why I’m starting the Writing Circle to help you reach your writing goals!
Together, we’ll create momentum, accountability, and community.

Make writing a priority with a small, focused accountability group.

With our dedicated writing sessions, you’ll…

⇒ Safeguard your writing time.

⇒ Increase accountability.

⇒ Get unstuck.

⇒ Allow space for creativity.

⇒ Gain writing momentum.

⇒ Put words on the page.

The hardest part about writing is consistency — arriving to the page with intention on a regular basis. Whether you’re working on a short story, memoir, novel or poetry, writing is all about showing up and doing the work. Which can be difficult to do when no one is expecting you to show up and do the work.

That’s where this group comes in. We are here. We are expecting you to be here too. We are cheering you on — the days when you unlock the key to your story’s plot and the days when the most you can write is a sentence. Writing is a solitary endeavor, but we can do it together.

Your Story Matters

space.

Five days. One hour per day. Set aside the time to write in community with other writers dedicated to getting words on the page.

momentum.

Completing a story — whether a novel or flash fiction — requires consistency, dedication, and commitment. Create energy around your project.

accountability.

Meet with like-minded writers in community every day, Monday-Friday. We believe in you. We support you. And we’re counting on you to be there.

This group is not for you if…

⇒ You’re looking for feedback. This is an accountability group, and we won’t be sharing or workshopping.

⇒ You’re unable to commit to our sessions. The group only works when everyone is here.

⇒ You’re not encouraging or supportive. We are giving positive vibes and cheering on our fellow writers.

⇒ You’re not ready to be serious or have fun. We’re committed to do both!

Creative writing is about the story you’re trying to tell, and it’s about how you the writer come to the page. We’ll create space for discovery — both on the page and off.

Will these sessions be recorded?

No.These writing sessions are meant to take advantage of a small community of writers with the energy and momentum  and accountability that comes from showing up at a specific time.

What if I can't make it for one session?

Part of the success of an accountability group is the commitment to show up for your writing on a regular basis. That said, sometimes life gets in the way. If you’re unable to make it, you will be missed and we’ll hope that you’ll be back the next day. There are no refunds or prorated fees for missed sessions.

Will I get feedback on my writing?

No. These session are for writing only. We are coming together to get words on the page. If you make a connection with another member of the group and want to share your work outside of these sessions, you are welcome to do so.

What is the cost?

The cost for one week of accountability sessions is $29. You’ll get a daily email of encouragement from me with links, quotes, and strategy suggestions to make the most of your writing time.

Let’s not forget about the connection to a small group of writers who have a similar focus and intention and commitment to their projects. Plus, you’ll get words on the page!

I'm just starting a novel. Is this group for me?

These sessions are for writers at any stage of their writing career at any stage of their writing project. All are welcome!

What happens when the week is over?

You’ll have the first opportunity to sign up for the next week of writing accountability. I’m purposefully capping enrollment to create a small, focuseed group.

Ugh! I didn't sign up in time. How can I get in for a future group?

No problem! I have a small waitlist for the next group. Contact me here and I’ll add your name.
